If I had only posted on the 20th of October I would have had a post every day for two weeks. I think that would have been a record of some kind. *sigh*

Also, I have to get this of my chest:

Okay, so this week's Supernatural was, surprise surprise, a Halloween episode. This has been the only episode to really annoy because of the occult stuff in it. I'm sure it comes as no surprise to anyone that the show suffers heavily from Christian bias (we've yet to see a single positive supernatural being of any kind), but this week was absolutely cringe-inducing. It has been the only episode so far to get every thing wrong. Not a single bit of it was accurate.

I realize the show's main concern is to tell an entertaining story (and it was certainly that), and I also realize the everyday viewer isn't going to know jack about what Samhain actually was. But some of us DO, and what I don't understand is that they would take the time to research enough to find out the actual name of the Celtic holiday and then proceed to absolutely butcher the actual Celtic myths around it.

They could have done something really cool this week about ancient myth versus modern ignorance, but instead they embraced modern ignorance in a full body hug. I don't know why I was so irritated; it comes as no surprise at all given the show's past history, but I felt a little let down in spite of myself.

I don't expect the show's bias to get better. If anything it will be just the opposite now that they've actually gone and added honest-to-god (presumably, I'm not yet convinced) angels to the cast.

*Sigh* This bothered me even more than the Vanir episode.

And he's not kidding about the "nothing right" folks! Couldn't even say "Samhain" right. *grumbles with Seth*

I don't mind that he uses the modern pronunciation, but why was he saying it with a weird emphasis? It sounded like two words. Very weird.

You like Xena, which is just as bad, if not worse, than Supernatural. Am I right? You already knew from previous experience that most shows suffer from Christian bias and god knows if I made a t.v. show it prolly would. Anyways, I just find it funny that you get worked up over Supernatural when you tell me to calm down over a Xena episode that was taken out of the bible about Abraham and Isaac, right? *phhht* now i've got something to make fun of you about lol

Lol, that's different, Ray. They were actually adapting a Christian story line, but the Supernatural episode wasn't. It was supposedly "The Way it Really Happened" and if they're going to say that they could at least be sure it actually WAS the way it really happened.

I know you don't watch the show, but this season's kinda loosing the magic for me. There's so many cool things they could be doing, but they AREN'T.

What a waste of all your money then, right? oh wait, you're aunt paid for those dvd's hahahaha. anyways, as entertaining as it is to hear you rant, why do you watch the show if it makes you so angry?

OH EM GEE! My Ray Ray has an LJ!

*ahem*

To be blunt, I watch the show for two reasons:

1) Jared Padalecki
2) Jensen Ackles

However, I do generally like the storylines and stuff, and usually it doesn't bother me that much. The last episode just hit all my buttons, I guess.
