I don't remember what it's called but it's an old-school Nintendo game. It's the one where Mario can get that suit that looks like a raccoon or a bear or whatever. My brothers and I called it the "birthday suit" for no reason at all.

Old-school Nintendo for the win!

Super Mario 3... my brother & I called it a "Pookie Suit" (after the teddy bear in Garfield).

Lol, I like that. I'll have to look and see if they offer that as one of the classic games for download on the Wii.

Did you ever see "The Wizard" - the two-hour Nintendo commercial? SMB 3 was the big reveal at the end of the tournament.

No, I haven't. What was it a commercial for?

The basic story was that there was this kid who doesn't do anything except play Nintendo, but he does it really well. He, his older brother, & some girl hitch-hike across the country to get to a gaming tournament, and the final test was the two finalists playing a game that no one had ever played before... one of the most advanced physics engines yet made available to the general public... a shiny lickable pastel design... and 100% family-friendly. Everyone gasped in awe! And the game hadn't come out in the United States yet, actually, so it was not only the audience at the tournament, but the whole movie-going public, too.
It started a firestorm over such blatant product-placement, something of a controversy at the time.

It really isn't a great movie, all told. Maybe worth a watch once, for the nostalgia.

An entire movie just to advertise a product? That's...kind of awesome.
