I was bored today and couldn't work up the motivation to write (I was up til four last night, gah!) so I decided to tweak my lj instead. It had been yellow forever, and I don't even like yellow.

So, now it's a nice blue with some crimson accents. Is much better. And I tweaked one of my favorite icons to match it better as well. *pets*

This is better, than the green and yellow that you had. Definitely.

I know, for sure. The green and yellow was a reference to the "Blond Badassery" title of the page, and though I liked it, it was time for a change. These colors popped up on this program that I have that just randomly does color schemes and I liked it.

Plus, I used to change the colors of my pages like once a day. But I've mellowed to once or twice every couple months these days.

I had a plain jane journal for almost a year because I couldn't figure out how to change headers, etc.

I had one of my flist spend about two hours walking me through it on IM to change my journal style, customize it and then put on the header that she resized and sent me the coding for.

I will probably leave it exactly as is for the time being, though I have a few headers I wouldn't mind switching out occasionally.

This color combo is much easier on the eyes.

I actually read incoming stuff from my inbox because it is white background with black type, and I find it much easier to read than the variety of journal color combos I come across.

The one I hate the most is black background with white writing. Way too hard to read. :(

Oh, I know. It's like, seriously people read an article about design for two seconds on the net. The color behind the text is the one we're supposed to notice the *least*.

Other dark colors would work better. Brown and white is more palatable because brown and white don't have the same contrast values, but black and white are straight up inverses of each other. Way hard on the eyes.
