Bad puns aside, it seems things are doing better. Now that a little over an hour has gone by (almost an hour and a half), I have both contact lenses in. The left begins to sting every little while, but it's better than being blind.

For those that think I'm being hyperbolic, I can assure you I'm not. In North America, legal blindness is described as vision at a power of 20/200 or worse without correction. If I don't wear my correction, my vision is at the level of 20/400. I'm blind, guys, like seriously.

Not quite so blind as yahrlan, or my aunt, but blind nonetheless. In fact, I'm pretty sure that as I get older I'm going to need lasik surgery and still have to wear correction.

Are both of your eyes the same? Because in one of my eyes I am 20/300 and the other is 20/100.

So I am legally blind in one eye and half blind in the other without correction. But I have to put my glasses on from the moment that I wake up till I go to bed otherwise I get really dizzy because my eyes are so different.

I already had one surgery on one of my eyes, so they said no more contacts. They keep recommending Lasik but that frightens me. Half the people that I know who have had it still have a need for glasses, just not as strong a prescription. And sometimes they only need them at night or when their eyes are fatigued.

But then you have to carry a pair of glasses with you all the time for when you get tired. Seems easier to just wear them all the time.

I hope that your eyes feel better and you have no more problems.
