You know what makes me eye roll? No, seriously, you know what just makes me go "bitch, please?" When Christians claim that it's only Christians that "sweeping generalities" are made against. Um, hello? Have you ever watched FOX news? Don't you know every brown-skin is a secret Muslim terrorist? Jesus Christ, people.

(Also, don't you love how my icon is a sparsely dressed, not from America, powerful female pagan? ^_^)

Never heard the 'sweeping generalities' made about Christians. Now one or two particular sects..but then I live in The South.

Consider this:

I can't consider whatever that is, lol. It must be a friends locked journal.

And I'm sure you've heard some of them.

"Christians get such a bad rap, we aren't all like that. How come only Christians get treated like this?"

If you never have heard this idiocy, consider yourself lucky.

I hear mormons saying that all the time.

Maybe if some of the more vocal ones would stop being ignorant fools, then they wouldn't make such reputation for all Christians everywhere.

My friend in Phoenix was out with some friends after work Thursday early a.m. hours at an outdoor 24 hour Mexican restaurant. They work late as they do sound and lights for some of the entertainment industry there.

They'd arranged themselves on the bench where the darker complex-ed were on one side and the lighter on the other. Cops drove up and demanded id from only the darker side of the table. One from the lighter side asked why and the reason was 'suspicion of loitering'. The cops were serious and seemed real disappointed that all of them had id. None of them were hispanic though, at least one if you didn't know better, kinda looks it. None were illegal immigrants. The cops drove away after telling the group to move along.
Good thing the friends on the lighter side of the table weren't carded. The guy from Finland didn't have his id on him.

Thought that the new law wasn't suppose to go into effect yet. Something like 90 days after the legislative session was over, wasn't it?
*falls off soapbox*

*huh* Being Christian I guess I'm guilty of looking at the fanatics and wishing they'd wise up and try for sanity. Just because you have faith doesn't mean having rational thought is beyond your abilities.
